Who We Are

Our Founder's Journey

My name is Daniel Stansbie the founder of Stansbie and Co, Chartered Accountants. My journey into accountancy began at school, where maths quickly became my favourite subject. That led me to choose maths, further maths and economics at A-level. I knew early on that university wasn't the right path for me, as I was keen to get straight into the workplace (and avoid the student debt!).

In 2017, I began an ACA apprenticeship, starting with a small local firm before moving on to the fifth largest accountancy practice in the UK. Alongside gaining a tonne of practical experience, I passed all 15 ACA exams first time, meaning I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2022.

At the start of 2025 I obtained my practising certificate, which gave me the opportunity to establish Stansbie & Co. Launching my own firm has been the most exciting step in my career so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds!



After eight years in a corporate environment, I found that traditional client relationships lacked the depth and impact I sought. This realisation inspired me to establish my own firm, one where my expertise could make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and businesses alike.
