Who is Daniel Stansbie?
I’m not your typical old-school accountant who sits behind a mahogany desk and emerges once a year to hand you a bill. I’m a fully qualified Chartered Accountant based in Birmingham, specialising in supporting self-employed individuals, sole traders, and ambitious small business owners.
Before launching Stansbie & Co, at the beginning of 2025, I spent years working inside traditional firms. While there, not only did I feel unfulfilled being a small cog in a massive corporate machine, but I felt that clients were never treated well either. They were passed to account managers handling hundreds of accounts, who rarely knew the details of the business beyond a couple of quick check-in calls a year.
I knew there was a better way to do things and for it to be more fulfilling. I stepped away from the corporate agency model to build a boutique, one-man practice where I could focus 100% of my time on delivering direct, high-tier expertise with a real relationship at the heart of it.
